Up for auction, 1971 MG Midget that I have owned for approx 10 years. I am the 2nd owner. (The original owner was a friend of mine). This car has been in Georgia its entire life. This is not a rust bucket that has patches and replaced sheet metal parts. Please look closely at the photos provided. Since I have owned the car, I have rebuilt the engine (new piston rings, all bearings, cam shaft and lifters, reconditioned the cylinder head, new oil pump, timing chain and gears, water pump and all hoses have been replaced). The car is 99% original. The distributor has been updated to electronic ignition. The car has a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing, new u-joints, new carpeting and set covers, new windshield with weather stripping, professionally repainted original color. New wheels and tires have less that 2,000 miles on them. The engine is a 1275cc high compression, dual carb. Still have the original air filter and generator. The car comes with the original jack, jack handle, and vinyl pouch. The car is a weekend driver only in nice weather. To the best of my knowledge, the only imperfections are the front valance under the bumper has minor damage, the speedometer tends to twitch and the top has approx 3" tear in it.
