Vehicle Detail
***LOW RESERVE***Up for your consideration is my 1984 Chevrolet C 20 Pickup. The truck was purchased by me in September 2009 from the Original Owner with plans of restoration. My plans have since changed so here she is. This truck has the original 7.4 liter 454 Big Block engine, mated to a 4 speed manual transmission, or 3 speed with creeper. Behind that is the factory 14 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears. This is a powerful truck. When purchased, the truck was rustproofed between all body panels. You can see in the pictures that it has and is continuing to do it's job. The black color you see is the rustproofing agent seeping out of the bottom of the doors and tailgate, not rust. There is surface rust on this truck, and a hole behind the passenger side rear tire and in the top of the rocker panel where the door weatherstripping let the water in. The exhaust and 16'' tires are approximately 9 years old. The true dual exhaust is in excellent condition as is the tire tread. The tire sidewalls are weather cracked. I have put a new starter on it. The truck runs and drives as expected, shifts fine and drives straight. It has the original Chevy ''Tomato Red'' paint. All of the fender and door tags are there, as are the original owners and maintenance manuals, and the grille bowtie. The toolbox is not included in the auction. This truck is also for sale locally and I will end the auction if it sells. This truck is very solid and does not have the typical northern rust. Please come look at this truck, crawl underneath, and drive it. Again this is a LOW RESERVE auction, so bid to win. The high bidder will own the truck. $500.00 deposit due within 24 hours, balance due within 72 hours unless prior arrangements are made. Thank you for looking and please email with any and all questions! On Jul-15-10 at 10:41:25 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to some questions: There are no extra parts to go with the truck, i.e. fenders, doors, motors, etc. What you see in the pictures is what is included in the sale, with the exception of the toolbox which is noted above. Next, the stickers in the glove box mention about slide in camper installation, but there is nothing on the truck or title denoting "Camper Special". The truck has never been restored, had body work done or paint. Aside from tires, exhaust, oil, tune up parts, belts and hoses, etc, this truck is an original survivor. Please keep the questions coming and I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge as I did get quite a bit of history about the truck from the previous owner. To add some details: The drivers side interior kick panel is rusted thru on the bottom edge, which was just pointed out to me. If you want to see pictures of this I will email them, just ask. It is caused by the weatherstripping drying out and cracking, just like the tops of the rocker panels. I can not add the pictures because I have the maximum number allowed already posted. Also there is a Reese hitch that comes on the truck, which is barely visible in the picture of the back. I do not know if it was added on or if it is part of a factory tow package. Again, everyone is welcome to please come look at the truck, drive it (no joy rides), crawl underneath and all thru it. When it's gone, it's gone and you may never see another like it from this area again. Thanks!
