1963 VW Ragtop which has undergone a RESTORATION ONLY 4 MONTHS AGO Painted Porsche Guards red by a body and paint shop. Salt and pepper carpet and custom 2 tone seat covers with custom pockets on the back of the front seats with matching 2 tone custom door panels with a light grey velour headliner stayfast ragtop cover all done by a professional upholstery shop the headliner and carpet have soundeading material installed underneath it from the front to the back to cut down the road noise. All items listed below are less than 4 months old Complete interior and stay fast ragtop cover Paint and body work All window rubber and Og style trim All door seals and outer and inner seals and trim All fender beading seals Front and rear turn signal / tail light assemblies, bulbs,and seals Exterior body trim and emblems Running boards Bumper bracket seals and grommets Exterior door handles with keys Front hood seal and rear decklid seal Rear engine compartment seal License plate light seal Exterior side view mirror Attenna Rear brake pads (german) Front and rear rubber brake lines and wheel cylinders (german) Interior Empi door pulls accessory cigar ashtray trannsmission axle boots There is a grease stain on the carpet behind the passenger seat that I'm sure will come out just haven't tried yet and the paint and bodywork are not a show quality job basically your not going to win best paint job if you go to a show with it there are probably 4 very tiny little scratches on it none bigger than 1/4 inch I was told they can all be color sanded and buffed out . The paint is single stage PPG and and has not been colored sanded nor buffed out yet The engine 1200cc 40 horse Original style engine and full synchronized Transmission are in solid working order. The engine starts up with a quick turn of the key and runs all day long buzzing around town with out any issues for myself It has had a recent tune up about 150 miles ago new plugs new spark plug wires new fuel lines and filter valve adjustment timing adjusted carb adjustment The Transmission shifts smoothly and doesn't pop out of gear or make and strange noises The front end is a adjustable front beam which rides smooth and doesn't seem loud and bouncy like so many other VW"s I've ridden in. All of the torsion bars are still installed Front tires are 145r15 with empi stlye 5 spokes with rear tires of 205/65r15 The whole intire vehicle underneath has been sprayed with black rubberized undercoating to also help on cutting down the road noise and to clean up the detailed apperance of the cool resto custom cruiser As for the elctrical the dome light and horn don't work but everything else works headlights brakelights turn signals license plate light and it does have the rare stock original style Sapphire radio, rare Cigar Ashtray and Empi door pull handles on both front doors Its a very nice looking/ driving ragtop bug that gets all the looks from the young crowd to the older crowd you cant go wrong with this one Unfortunatley due to the economy and my job I must sell this bug even after just winning first in class at a recent car show.
