Vehicle Detail

This car was originally purchased in Florida. My dad and I went down ourselves and drove it back. We payed the full taxes at the U.S. Canada border and brought it home. It takes sometime for the papers required for registration to come in from the border so we started on some maintenance. Everything removed was replaced with only OEM parts shipped from Germany via. "Queensway Mercedes Benz" -Radiator, Removed and Replaced. (Had a damp spot on the bottom rail, one of the rings had come out) $300 part only - Top Bottom Right Radiator Hose. (Had cracks on it from wear and tear, didn't look safe) $32 part only - Valve Cover seal/gasket. (Just replaced it because we removed the valve cover to inspect) $45 part only - Brake Fluid Flush (Routine) Had brake fluid with us - Wheel Balancing all around. $120+tax at a nearby shop, Remove-Balance-Replace, $30 a tire - Transmission Seal/Gasket and Filter. (Light leak, nothing serious) $55 kit - Transmission Oil. $8/L Bought from MB - Transmission Gear Connector Bushes. (The selector stick is now as tight as a brand new benz) $15 - Engine Oil and Filter. (The oil in it was just fine but we changed it anyway as new owners) Mobil1 Extended Performance 4.4l x2 - $100 - Air filter was already new - The car came with tinted windows (We wouldn't have known but MB put a sticker on the door panel) This is all I have as per now. The Vehicle Import Department Sent me a letter saying that my car was not allowed in Canada. I called and asked why and they said that they it was something to do with the seat-belt restraints and Canadian Law. The seat-belts look fine to me and they are the exact same on both U.S. and Canadian 300se models. I then sent a message to MB Canada for a letter of no re-call, just to get some leverage in the situation. They replied with a letter saying that the car is not allowed to be in Canada and should not have come in to begin with. I called the customs and asked why they didn't tell me at the border and they said that it was my responsibility to have checked before bringing the vehicle in. They were right, this vehicle along with many '93 models were listed with restriction to registration in Canada on RIV website. The border will not budge. Neither will MB Canada. They refuse to certify the vehicle and give me a letter of recall under any circumstances. Even if I got a letter of no recall from the states, the R.I.V. here wouldn't register it. I have looked down every alleyway to get it registered and I couldn't find any leniency. There is one way but I'd rather not go down there. The car had been sitting under cover in our garage for two years. The auto-check report reads 180'664 as the last reading. The car is now at 181'400. We barely used it and it's a shame. The front seats are a little worn but not ripped anywhere. The rear seats are perfect. The windows are bulletproof. There are no lights on the dash. The vacuum pump turns on and off perfect. The car is strong and is an absolute dream on the highway. It came fully equipped Tilt/Telescopic Steering Leather Seats Wood grain Cruise Vanity Mirrors Bullet Proof Windows Dual Zone Climate Control Full power seats mirrors and rear-view ...there is just so much I do have an auto-check report but I don't know how to incorporate it into the advertisement. It checks out fine and has green lights all across. It scored 45 and max score for similar vehicles is 47. If you contact me with your e-mail, I'll be more than happy to send it over I've put up a few photos of the basics. The car is exactly as you see it in the ads. It has no body rust. The under body is immaculate as well. If you need any up close photos of any areas I forgot to cover on the car, feel free to message and I'll get your photos. I reserve the right to end at any time if I get it sold locally or at another site first. Shipping can be discussed, my dads friend has a car-hauler trailer and a truck. If that doesn't work I can drive her right up to the border and I don't know if they would allow me any further on temp. plates. Last is you picking it up yourself. You shouldn't have to pay any taxes because the car still has its Florida title and you can probably drive it to the states if you bring a temp. permit from your DMV.
