She's Old ~ She's Bold ~ She's Need To Be Sold!! She's Classy ~ She's Sassy ~ She Has Her Own Chassis!! Okay my limited knowledge of vintage trucks could be your gain. Here is what I know, It's a 1966 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Pickup Truck. The body type is listed as ZB66PU. The vin number with the limited resources and info I have tells me some basics but if you are a vintage truck afficianado you can probably decode far better than I can. She is a 1966 Chevrolet V6 built in Fremont. The transmission is manual. Unfortunately I cannot tell you the size of the engine I can tell you it's the original we haven't replaced it. She has had some basic mechnical work done like brakes, master cylinder (2002), carberator rebuilt (2003), battery replaced, (2006). She does have rust on her but she is an old gal afterall. She has had just one owner and has been resting comfortably in her parking spot for many, many, years. Do believe the last time she was run was in 2007. She has a clear title and all tags and registration are up to date. I know she isn't much to look at but for someone who is looking to restore a classic to it's original beauty or for someone who is looking for original parts this may be your dream come true. All things on her as I understand it are original, we haven't done a thing to her to dress her up she is what she is but I can tell you it has had but one non-smoking owner. Oh and the odometer reads just 46,280 and since she wasn't used much in her lifetime I do believe that's all the miles she has on her and the odometer hasn't turned and started recounting. Don't know this for sure but I understand that this may be the case as she was only used around the ranch/park. Now as far as delivery. This is the responsiblity of the buyer. Today I went to take more photos of the truck and I will be able to post later this afternoon. What I can tell you is the following: She is a true "Genuine Jenny" Straight 6 / 235 / Dual Carburetor with the original engine and chassis!! The body of the truck is in excellent condition with some rust (which is to be expected from a gal of her age) she appears to be dentless with just minor stuff. She has a wood bed which I can't tell you if it's the original but I don't know that it isn't I certainly haven't changed it and it looks like it's been there for decades. We found what looks like two small burn holes in the drivers seat and I found out that our former caretaker had smoked once or twice in the truck. Rest his soul he's been gone for 6 year now and NO ONE has smoked in her since. We didn't know and I apologize for any misconceptions I previously had or may have imparted on you. Tried to start her myself today and while she cranks she just won't turn over but I know she really wants to. For those in the know and for those who are not, the truck may be a two barrel carb rather than a dual carb. Dual carb is generally reserved for high performance trucks are they not?
