here is a unit that you dont see very often: we traded this truck in on a new GMC.it is a short bed c10 (old classic body style) automatic-v8 DIESEL engine,and ice cold air conditioning(see pictures to see the condensation on the dryer under the hood as proof of its coldness).this truck demands some explanation so don't get bored with my long detailed explanation.:.............as i said it was traded in on a new vehicle,and it is a REALLY nice pick up.somethng you just don't find on a car lot except in a classic car dealers inventory or at a classic car auction.we do not deal in classic cars/trucks; but this truck was done up so well we decided to run it through the shop to see if it would pass our vehicle inspection.most cars with over 50,000 miles fail our inspections,not that they can;t be fixed,but that it would cost as much as the vehicle is worth to fix it properly; in order to retail it, to one of out customers...........this truck passed with flying colors.--the reason is is the previous owner spent over $15,000 in the last year on restoring this truck into what he wanted.the restoration included A TOTAL REBUILD OF THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION,NEW INTERIOR,NEW EXTERIOR PAINT,NEW TONNEAU COVER,NEW TIRES,NEW AMERICAN RACING WHEELS,etc,etc,etc.when i say new interior it has from dash paint to new carpet,door panels,custom wood door inserts,wood pull handels,diamond plate door sill pads,restored air conditioning system,etc,etc.on top of this it is the RARE diesel engine truck. the truck includes the original build sheet still glued to the inner fender panel,all diesel warning lables of factory warnings,etc,etc this is a stock truck with the exception of wheels,and interior slightly modified,to enhance the appearance of it.these short bed v8's are becoming collector items,the diesel ones are almost non existant.it has been 30 years since i have even seen a short bed diesel,not to mention never seeing one all properly restored.the 6.2 diesel really wasn't a bad motor,they held up pretty good.this is not to be confused wth the 350 gasoline converted to diesel engine( that was a disaster of engineering).these motors will get respectable mileage much better than a gas motor.i don't recall the mileage but will probably be in the low 20's if i remember right.the color is probably the best color you could find one in,the red is eye catching and the shine on this one will reflect your whole image in it's wet looking shine. the wheels are AMERICAN RACING,not your typical chinese made k-mart brand.as i said the previous owner spent some real money on this truck,i am selling it at "NO RESERVE" with a resaonable( far less than a classic car auction price)" Buy IT NOW" price for the person who doesn;t want to play the game of waiting till last day of the auction and find an individual with an extra fast computer outbids you the last 5 seconds of the auction(this happens to me all the time,as ebay auctions often are concluded like this) i can help on transportation,to the new owner if out of state,or fly in and drive it home.the truck runs/drives beautifully.if you want a classic c10 this will turn heads at any car show or drive it daily,the previous owner took a huge loss on this,as the saying goes,someone elses loss is your GAIN!! i have a NO RESERVE OF $7450,with a "BUY IT NOW" of only $7800. a TRUCK IN THIS CONDITION AT BARRETT JACKSON CLASSIC CAR AUCTION WOULD SELL FOR OVER$15,000. we are new car dealers so we can't keep it in stock till next january to sell it in phoenix's barrett jackson sale thus an opportunity exists for a classic truck buff.you just CAN'T BUILD THEM FOR THE SMALL AMOUNT WE ARE OFFERING IT FOR SALE FOR.
