1973 Triumph Daytona

I took this bike on trade for a Harley a few years ago with the intention of servicing it (it sat for 12 years before I got it) and using it for our local British Ralley. That hasn't happened and I don't have time to fool with it. I did pull the plugs and verified that the engine does have new pistons (shinney on top). The engine has compression and I visually see nothing wrong with it. That said, I'm selling the little bike as is. For those of you with a knowledge of the 500 Triumphs, you should know this is the last and best series of the 500 unit twins since it has the improved roller bearings on both ends of the crank (unlike earlier models with a bronze bushing on the pinion side). As the pictures show, the bike is fairly clean, but has some lite pitting and corrosion in the chrome. The bike is easilly nice enough to use and enjoy as it is. The paint is decent and the bike shows no signs of having any serious crashes in it's life. All the cables and tires look OK. It will need need new forks boots.
