Vehicle Detail
This beautiful old classic is a true find. I located the truck in Colorado. The previous owner said it was used only during the fall on a farm for harvest purposes. This explains the original (give or take a couple hundred miles) 39,000 miles on the odometer. I was going to put the truck to work but it was so nice, I didn't have the heart. Instead I had the exterior painted. The interior has the original paint, original headliner. I believe the seat back is original but the seat bottom has been recovered. This KB6 has the rare dump bed which operates perfectly off the dash mounted power take-off switch. It also has a two speed rearend although the cable needs to be replaced. The rear end is in high right now. We ended up using the truck for a parade vehicle. We would load the bed up with three tons of our product (wood pellets), a bunch of people, a mess of candy and away we would go. The truck would idle in the parade in 95 degree (or hotter) heat. It was hot out but the KB6 always ran cold (there is an aftermarket temp guage on the dash). The bad: The odometer quit working on me when I drove the truck home from Colorado. It may be a cable problem, I just never looked into it. That is why I say the mileage is original "give or take a couple hundred miles". I am doing my best to represent this truck factually. I want no disappointments. Black paint is hard to photograph. So...while the photos don't look that great, she is very bright and shiny. The paint is nice. There is one spot above a wiper blade where the paint did not stick. it is about an inch or so wide. The sideboards remove so she can be used as a flatbed. The tires are good to go. She is a Southwest truck and thus has no rust. You will not be disappointed. Especially for the low price. I believe you could crawl in this truck and drive her home anywhere in the continental USA. It wouldn't be fast but I think she would do it. This is a nice old truck. I reserve the right to end the auction early as she is listed locally as well. Questions? 505-287-9469, ext 12
