Vehicle Detail
1967 Mustang Coupe project car. Car was originally equipped with A/C (vents still in the dash as well as the a/c style heater box) and Power Steering. Currently the pump and hoses are not with the car but the control valve and steering box are the original power steering type. Has manual drum brakes. I picked this car up pretty much as shown with no drivetrain. I picked up a rebuilt '68 302 engine with and Edelbrock performer intake and performer 600cfm carb and C4 trans which is installed but needs some final hookup and tuning. It does start but not ready for the road yet. A new 2 1/4" exhaust with H-pipe is installed but again needs final positioning and hanging. The car is in relative good condition body wise. The undercarriage looks solid. Frame rails, trunk floors all look good. The floors looked to have been replaced at some point in its life but are good with just some surface rust on the interior when I pulled back carpet to check. Hood is good but has dings, drivers fender has a little rust on the lower corner but it's not rusted through, passenger fender is good, driver and passenger door has a little bubbling around the door handle, driver quarter has a little bubbling around the wheel lip and lower section behind door, passenger quarter just has some bubbling by the lower section behind door, trunk lid looks good as well as the roof. The interior is in decent shape. Needs carpet, seat upholstery and some trim pieces replaced. All depends how far you want to go with the restore. Comes with a partial floor console with a am/fm cassette stereo and cd disc changer mounted in the trunk. Not sure if the changer works but the radio did. Someone cut part of the rear of the console off probably to put in a humphugger style arm rest console. Once it's tuned and running and the brake system checked I'm sure it could be driven as is or while restoring. I've tried to explain the car in detail but it is a project car so if you have any questions or would like to see it in person please feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to answer any questions or take photos of any areas you would to see. This is a project car and is being sold as is/where is with nor warranties expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for shipping or transportation. A $200 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end. final payment due within 5 days of auction end. Car is for sale locally and auction may end early. I picked the engine/trans up off ebay from a guy who had them rebuilt about 2 years ago and never used them. I don't have any specs or paperwork on the rebuild but I was told it was a stock rebuild. I had taken the valecovers and oil pan off to inspect it and everything looked clean and new. After dropping the drivetrain in place I didn't do much to it until recently to hook everything up this weekend before being put up for sale. It does start but has a slight miss at idle and a stumble when in gear. It seems to be timing and/or a vacum leak but I haven't gone any further with it.On Jul-11-10 at 05:02:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Had some questions on the quarter panels. There is filler in both quarters especially where it's bubbling and the lower sections of both quarters. It will need quarter work and even full quarters depending on how bad it is once you start into it. Also, someone asked about the shock towers and yes if you look at the photos they do have small holes cut into them that someone did along the way to get to the zirk fittings in the control arms for ease of greasing them.
