Vehicle Detail

I am the original owner of this arctic silver metallic 1997 911 twin turbo with 6 speed manual transmission. This was the PCNA display car at the 1997 Chicago Car Show, and afterwards was directly transported to my garage where it has remained since. This 993 model is the last of the air cooled turbos, with 400 hp and 400 ft-lbs torque. 0-60 times were listed at 3.7-3.9 sec, and a top speed of 180 mph. The car only has 16,947 miles, and is in truly excellent condition. The car was in heated storage every winter, driven only 5-6 months/year, and has never seen snow or road salt. It has never been in an accident, with no dings, bumps or scratches. The brake pads and P Zero tires are good, with much greater than 50% wear left. The car came with the extensive standard turbo equipment. Options include: auto dimming rear view mirror, steering wheel in special leather, aluminum/leather shifter and brake handle, aluminum/chrome X71, X70, X54, (aluminum faced dash instruments), infra red security system and supple leather front and rear seats. My only modifications are metal accelerator pedal, and harness bar with 5 point belts for driver and passenger (I had 2 weekend driver education courses at Grattan Raceway in 1998). Last month, I installed a Fabspeed Maxflo stainless steel muffler system. I like the sound, but it may be a bit too much for my taste, and I have the original muffler available to be reinstalled. I'll let the new owner decide. The car received regular maintenance, always uses Mobile One oil, and just completed the 15,000 mile Porsche factory service. To Porsche's credit, I only experienced 2 minor repairs to this car in the last 13 years: a fan belt and a power window switch. What keeps this car from 100% perfection? 1. there are some shallow blemishes on one of the turbo wheels 2. the windshield gasket squeaks in some weather conditions (esp when cold and dry) 3. the front brakes intermittently squeal 4. there is a minimal rub spot on the left bolster of the drivers seat from getting in and out of the car. Otherwise, this car is as new. The interior still smells new. I am meticulous with my cars and try to represent them as honestly as possible. Although I can't confirm it, this could be the nicest specimen of a '97 993 turbo available. My starting bid is $67,500 with no reserve. (My Porsche dealer offered me $65,000 in trade for a Panamera) Payment is by certified check or bank transfer only. I always let my auctions run the duration, and will not end it early. Delivery is the buyer's responsibility. Please ask me any questions you may have. The vehicle is sold "as is". Interested persons are encouraged to get professional mechanical inspections (my Porsche mechanic pronounced the car "perfect" at the 15,000 mile service). I have provided many detailed photographs to show the card as accurately as possible
