Vehicle Detail
1984 NISSAN 300ZX Turbo - 50th Anniversary Edition This auction is for a 1984 Nissan 300zx, the 50th Anniversary Edition. To commemorate their 50th Anniversary (1934 to 1984), NISSAN MOTOR Corporation issued a Special Edition version of their new 300ZX Turbo. The "1984 300ZXT 50th Anniversary Edition" was produced in limited numbers. A continuation of the popular Z-Car line, the new first-generation 300ZX featured substantial technical advantages over its predecessors and continued the movement of the Z Car from its role as a Sports/GT toward a more modern and luxurious Grand Touring Car. It is estimated that today, only about 1,500 to 2,000 10th Anniversary Editions still exist in the United States. While other Nissan models that year displayed the 50th Anniversary logo only 5000 1984 300ZX's received the truly "significant" appearance and performance enhancements found in the 50th Anniversary Edition Option Package (This info comes from the Z Car Home Page) . Here are some details about my Z The Good ! Low Mileage - Only <69,470 miles I am the third owner. I've been the owner since 1991, when I bought it from my cousin, who had it since around 1989. So, I know who's owned the car for the past 16 years. The car has never been in an accident. Runs well, and is real fast Kept in garage Original Paint and Decals AC works well Original T-Top and T-Top shades Mats are new Recently replaced electronic module on Dashboard -- All dashboard controls work ! The car speaks to you; e.g., "lights are on". (My daughter used to love this feature) You should look this good at 25+, given that: There are some dings here and there (not too bad), and some of the pin stripes are pealing There is a small oil leak - needs gasket. Rubber (on Doors and Windows) are waring as wells as ceiling material sometimes comes out of place. Replaced stereo with a JVC, However, I still have the original one -- The Bodysonic, etc. will still work if it is reconnected. Windshield wiper is "slow" (may need a new motor soon) Stitching coming loose on drivers seat Hood pistons (things that hold the hood open) are loosing strength Tire have good treads, but are over 10 years old, should be replaced ... all and all, that is it.. not bad for a 25 year old car. See Q&A section at the bottom of this listing for more details... Additional Photos Taken - 05/29/2010 The leak appears to be around this screw This is the other side of the oil intake - where the dip stick is. There is also a slight leak here, you can see where the oil appears to have caused some rust by the metal pan under the oil intake. (You are not seeing oil here - it is water as I washed the area before taking the picture.) Spare tire area - There was some light signs of surface rust - i brushed and sanded it off; and it cleaned up pretty good This is the area under the tool chest - there was a little more rust on this side - But again, it cleaned up pretty well (I could have keep cleaning and it would have all come up) SPECIFICATIONS BODY: Type: 2 seater coupe, t-tops Drag: .31 Cd.
