Vehicle Detail
This is an amazingly rare Jaguar. Imported new from Germany to DMJ Cars in the US where it was extensively modified for its first owner who paid over $75,000 in 1985. in 1985 a standard XJ12 was less than $40,000. Thats over $147,000 adjusted for inflation. This car was completely modified when brand new. It was painted by hand with a perfect finish. The interior was completely removed and all redone in hand stitched leather. There is no vinyl left. The carpets are over an inch thick and made of Wilton wool. The front seats are one off Recaro seats covered in Connelly leather, and the rears were made to match. On the exterior, an in house made body spoiler kit was fitted along with all EPA and DOT required upgrades to the bumpers, lights, glass etc. Mechanically the engine was modified (not sure what was done) but it is faster than stock. Also I am pretty sure the rear end was changed out to improve acceleration. The suspension was really beefed up with reinforced shock towers, panhard bar, anti roll bar, stiffer bushings and adjustable shocks. It was also lowered. All of this translates to a very good driving Jaguar. I have had several dozen Jaguars over the years, and this is the best driving one I have EVER had. It accelerates fast and handles very very well. Since I purchased it, it had been stored for many years and just recently heavily serviced. It has had all new hoses everywhere in the engine bay. The dual gas tanks were removed, fixed and reinstalled with new sending units. The A/C was fixed and completely serviced. It has a new battery, and new tires. The radiator was removed, recored and reinstalled. It also has new fan clutch, hood prop shocks, thermostats, and much much more. If you are looking for and incredibly rare Jaguar in great shape, this is it. I cannot find exact production from DMJ cars, but I have been told less than 20 cars were produced. I would not be scared to drive this car anywhere. I am thinning my collection, and need to sell several of my personal cars. Make an offer and we'll see what we can do. Buyer pays Shipping, but I can help arrange cheaply. Sold as is where is with no guarantees. Must be paid for within 5 days. Thanks Nathan 405-420-6996
