Vehicle Detail
Condition of this Classic "70" Chevy is mostly all orginal Chevrolet. Hard to find 4WD - Automatic Tranny- Rare 127" Long Wheel Base. 106K original miles - new timing chain and rear end at approx. 97K. Really clean from rust - some along the panels under the cab, all on the surface, frame good. Missing tailgate trunions, hinges, and tailgate catches - screwed up and sold them in an oddball box of parts at auction last year! - easily available from LMC for about a hundred and a quarter. I think the previous owner may have put the Panasonic radio in, and probably removed the factory set. I am the third owner of the vehicle and have had it for about 20 years. I know both the original owner and the previous owner, altho, they are gone from here now. Engine runs great - how could an old 350 not? - Auto- tranny and 4WD both strong. Tires have lots of miles left on'em. Doesn't use oil to speak of - maybe a quart every 1,500 miles - tranny does leak some - might need rear main from what a buddy tells me. On Jul-07-10 at 20:26:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Notes in the interest of knowledge about the truck: It seems I was wrong about the rarity of 127" Wheelbase - sorry about that info. Couple other things I have thought to add - First, I think you all can see from the pics the condition of the tires - there are several thousand more highway miles to be had on them - I probably wouldn't drive too many miles in the ice/snow with them without adding weight over the rear axle tho. I recently changed the plugs, gapped them and checked timing. I also put a new battery in about 4 or 5 months ago. Also, in addition to the stock fuel tank - there are two saddle tanks installed, one of which needs to be replaced if you were to want to have that option of packing more fuel. Happy Continued Bidding - db
