This is a Jeep Cherokee from 1978 2 years ago a new engine was put into it, the engine is a Jeep engine to match the original. The new V8 engine is the 401 ~ this is a quadra track all wheel (4 wheel drive) has around 3,000 freeway miles on the new engine,it was owned by my grandfather who was elderly & only used it to run local errands once it the engine was replaced. The transmission was replace almost 5 years ago, there is AC but the compressor needs to be replaced and there is no rust spots anywhere the body is solid, never in an accident do dents or major dings. I have basic paperwork (title) (registration) and I believe there is a Chilton's guide but during the chaos of his passing his daughter tossed out a stack of receipts not realizing what they were or their importance (assuming we were keeping the vehicle) and we knew he keep everything updated... the ac was not a concern for him as they were snowbirds later in life and left the car stored in the summer months.The paint is original, 2 of the tires need to be replaced but they are o.k. to drive on for short distances... if someone purchased this vehicle and wanted to drive it out of Arizona I would be willing to replace the other 2 tires, the interior is in good condition it is made of cloth and could be reupholstered,the seats are in great shape but there are a few tears from age, the headliner is perfect and has no sags or rips! the back window is electric but it needs to be fixed as it works but it is not reliable 100% of the time to lower and raise, it is rigged to work but it slips off the track if it is used often ~ other than this all the glass in perfect and no big chips or cracks. The Jeep has a tow hitch and we have replaced essential hoses and wires. The Jeep is a beast and runs fast and powerful with a V8 that is dying to be put to the test ~Basically this car is dying to be tricked out and taken off road with a new suspension kit and some care it could be a great off road Monster!
