Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1991 Saab 900 Turbo and looking for a Saab person like myself for it to go to. I currently own four Saab's and I must make room. This car was purchased by me in Sedona, AZ early 2009 and I had it shipped back to Massachusetts where I have been driving, updating and maintaining her. The odometer currently shows 141,000. When I bought her the odometer had just stopped and it was a quick fix of the cable to get the odometer back working. The car has a clear Massachusetts title. This is by far the strongest and tightest classic 900 which I have owned. The car drives incredibly well, handles extremely tight, shift crisply, the turbo whistles as it spools and the AC will chill you. The rails beneath the car are incredible as the car was in AZ. The leather seating surfaces are without tear our splits. The passenger and rear seats do not look like they were sat in. The dashboard has only two small cracks about 1/2 inch long and is near perfect. The carpeting in in great condition with no stains and she has the original Saab rubber mats. Since I took ownership of the car I have replaced or fixed:- Crank shaft pulley- All Belts- AC compressor and AC lines- Oil cooler and two oil cooler lines- Front shocks- Rear pads and one rear caliper- Four (4) General Altimax all-season tires (1K miles)- Windshield- Valve cover gasket- Rear hatch shocks- Probably other things I have forgotten... Oh and the stereo sounds very nice as I have replaced the original with a Panasonic CD tuner with USB and AUX Input. The original Clarion speakers have all been replaced with Boston Acoustic speakers. I have the original Clarion radio (with code) and the head unit was replaced with quality wiring harnesses from Crutchfield so that it can be reversed if someone wanted to. As the car is 20 years old, here is what could use attention.- The headliner is sagging- The power antenna stopped working but can be raised and lowered manually. I have a working antenna from a convertible.- The car was stored in a carport and the AZ sun removed the clear coat from just the rear hatchback door. Quoted between $200-300 to professionally paint and match. I chose to keep it original.- Other minor scatch's and nick. See the high - res photos. The high resolution pictures can be seen at:http://s743.photobucket.com/albums/xx79/dennisbibeau/1991%20Saab%20900%20Turbo/ This car is truly as I have stated and shown in the pictures. I use a Saab Master mechanic to work on all four of my Saab's. I will be glad to answer serious questions from seriously interested people. I have been offered $2000 by a local classic car reseller who knows what he can get for this car and I have started the auction there.
