This is a 1963 Studebaker Cruiser that had been setting in illinois since the early '80's. This car was special ordered by the original owner in Gainsville Florida. It's equipped with factory A/C (the compressor still turns on with the switch) tinted windows, HD shocks, individual reclining seats, overdrive, hill holder and power disc brakes. This was a very well optioned car. The car was originally Rose Mist metallic in color with matching interior, but at some point it had been repainted and the repaint appears more Gold than Rose. When I got the car I flushed the fuel lines, gas tank, brake system etc. The car now runs and the brakes work, including the hill holder. The engine runs strong, doesn't smoke and the compression is very good at 135-140 on all cylinders. The headlights, brakelights, turn signals and horn all work. The bumper guards and the arm rests for the front doors are in the trunk (I don't know why). The car wouldn't need very much to be a driver. Although I would buy the car with the intention of restoring it. The car has some rust issues, (although the frame appears solid), which I try to show in the pictures. I had wanted to restore this car but I have too many projects and I can't do body work so I'm hoping to find a good home for the car. The springs and the suspension are in very good shape (surprising for a car this age) which leads me to believe that the 48,000 miles showing on the odometer may be correct.
