Available for auction for the first time is this great looking, great running 85 Chevy Impala Sedan. This is the LAST of the Impalas, they only made 4 door Impalas in '85. Basicly thay are slightly stripped Caprices with their own front and rear look. They didnt bring the Impala name back until the 90s. This is my personal car that I use as a daily driver. The car has been well maintained over the years and it is as solid as it looks & runs like new. I have enjoyed driving her & sell only to focus on another project car. Everything is working as it should including the air conditioning! It has been changed over to the R134 "freon" and it will freeze you out of the car. The powerful 305 V8 with the 4 barrel carb starts up with ease, runs strong and shifts great with the factory 3 speed 700r trans with overdrive. The battery is less than a month old with receipt, the alternator is brand new and it has 4 new belts. Every single hose, clamp, bracket, wire harness, etc. is correctly routed in the engine compartment as the factory did it. The brakes work great, new pads up front and the exaust is solid. The cooling system is working flawlessly with no leaks. The original solid brass 3 core radiator is still working like new. The tires are a clean matching set of Goodyear 205/75/R15 and they have 80% of their tread left. The hubcaps are off a 60s Chevy and I just liked the stripped down, police car look they give. THIS CAR HAS ZERO RUST! This has been a southern, garage kept car and it has absolutely NO rust issues ANYWHERE. The body is straight, with clean lines and not filled with bondo. All the bumper fillers are in good condition. All the body chrome is beautiful and straight with mirror finishes. The bumpers are super clean and straight with bright, full chrome. The old paint is thin in spots and there are a few chips in the paint here and there but the overall apperance is that of an attractive car. Drive it now, look good doing so and paint it the color of your choice when you have the money. The original AM/FM radio has been replaced with a Blaupunkt Key West 169 edition AM/FM CD player and it was professionally installed with new factory style faceplates for this radio: it was not cut to fit. It is working well on the 4 original speakers but can handle alot more with an amp and a good speaker box. As for additional options: It has a tilt steering column with working cruise control & factory bumper guards. The seats are comfortable and clean and they have an amazing story: The original owner was a woman and she had the seats on her new car covered with vinyl material. This vinyl material was pulled off last month to reveal the original material still in mint condition underneath! COOL HUH?! The headliner, sun visors and package tray were professionally recovered last month w/recipt. You have simple roll down windows that work on all 4 doors. It has a smoke free interior! The trunk is clean with the carpet, original spare and a complete jack assembly. The car also comes complete with all the owners manuals, booklets, etc and repair receipts over the years. All that scary red ink because someone didnt remember the mileage when they went in to the DMV and made a number up. The odometer works great. Miles are typical for the cars condition and there has been no tampering that I can detect. I have a clear, clean, lien free VA title in my name for this car. Notice that there are NO accidents reported, thats the inportant stuff. ALSO, Ebay wont let me change the engine size in their scroll down tabs. It has the factory 305 V8, like I said.
