Up for sale is a 1960 Rambler Ambassador. I am the fourth owner of this car. The third owner only owned it for 6 months. He was a family friend and bought the car from the second owner who had bought the car used in 1961 from Bobs Rambler in Michigan. From there the car was brought directly to California and has been here since, car still has Back and Gold California plates. I have several pieces of original documentation including the original window sticker. This car was used by the owners until approx 1985 when it was put in storage in a garage and had been there ever since. The car is all original and comes with all the original equipment except the carpet and one of the trim rings on the front fenders. It has the original AMC 327 V8 and it does run. I recently installed a new master and had the carb rebuilt. The car does run, but it will need some tuning to maintain idle and run good, as I said it is all original. The brakes work, but need some bleeding to get them real good. The transmission pump seal is leaking and will need replacement before the car would be driveable. Overall considering the age this car is in amazing shape. The intreior is all complete, minus the carpet, and there are no tears in the headliner or seats. The dash pad could use some work. The exterior has the original paint and I was able to buff it to an amazing shine. The paint has worn through in a small spot on one of the rear fenders. There are a few small dents, but they all look very repairable. This is a great collector car and would make a great family cruiser. Thanks for your interest.
