The reserve has been reduced by over $1,000.00 in order to sell quickly! This is a numbers matching Opel. I am selling my Opel because I have had a reduction in pay and need to pay some bills! My loss is your gain. Here is a list of all the new items: Alternator, Voltage Regulator, Weber Carb, Battery, Tires, Interior Carpet, Opel Car Mats & Spare Tire Cover and a cool german license plate. Rebuilt: Motor under 200 miles, pistons, brakes and radiator. Refinished Wiper Blades. Recent wiring completed on headlights and steering column. All parts were purchaed through Opel Gt Source. All receipts have been kept. Original manual, radio, beauty rings, wheel hubcaps, and tire jack included. Spare tire and extra beauty ring set. With every classic car there are some items that do not work or will probably need: The dash gauges, radio and turn signals do not work. The RPM gauge and alternator light do work. Recently had the headlights rewired and are now working. The exhaust is very cool as you can tell by the pictures, but the car will need new shocks. According to my mechanic, there is a very very small drip underneath that is probably a seal. This is one of the reason I have reduced the price. The mechanic said it would probably be about 400 to fix. Driving: The car drives fine, but the steering is a little loose and I was told it would probably need tie-rods. The estimated cost from a local shop was around 250-300. It runs great, but I have never had it out farther than 20 miles at a time. (no need) The interior is in very good shape except for a tear at the top of the driver's side seat. The dash is in good condition, but one side around the driver's window is dried out. (see picture) This is solid metal so it would just need new padding and interior cover. Very small area The exterior paint is in good condition as you can tell by the pictures, but there a couple of small scratches and the paint does not match by the driver's side mirror. It is a small area and is hard to tell unless you are looking for it. There was some rust in floorboard area, but it was replaced and refinished. Otherwise, there is no rust. The body is straight with no dents. I have taken this car out on some cruise nights and it always gets a lot of looks and comments. Overall, a great little car that just needs a little extra to make it truly special. If you were to put about 700-800 you would truly have a very good car. If you are a mechanic or have some friends this could be even lower. This is one of the reasons I reduced the price. I am being honest about everything up front so I do not waste anyone's time, mine included! I tried to cover everything, but if you have a question feel free to ask! Will not ship.
