Vehicle Detail
Ok, the car is an 81. Keep in mind that from 78-81 Camaros were pretty much identical. I could tell you its a 79 and 81 was the last year Chevrolet made the 'Mako' style body produced to resemble the 'Mako Shark' out in the ocean. So, in essence, the 81 is the last of its kind & that is what gives this car a lil value in addition to its not to shabby condition. The car came with a 6 cylinder from the factory. I dropped in a 4 bolt main 350 from an 86 Camaro IROC Z that my father himself overhauled. the cam shaft is slightly above the norm but nothing radical. It has a GM high rise intake manifold for Z28 Camaro with a 650cfm electric choke Edelbrok Carb. I upgraded the front suspension with V8 specs because the old one was shot ,and it was weight rated for a 6cylinder & I also installed polyurethane motor mounts. The V8 suspension is a bit beefier to handle the added weight the V8 brings into the picture. I don't know what gears it has, but they are most likely the original ones that came with the V6. I'm shure that dropping in sum descent gears will get the car to go even faster. I just got the exhaust system installed. Its got headers, not manifolds, to an H pipe to a set of small glass packs and the tips come out the sides of the car right in front of the rear wheels. This is as close as a barley legal exhaust system can get. I just had the plates & the inspection renewed. I had no issues passing the safety inspection. because the car is a classic and is over 25 years old, it doesn't go into emissions test any more when you go renew the state safety. The wheels are 17X8 Torque 3 with low pros. the interior needs work as well as the body & paint. Over all its a very good running car and a nice sunday afternoon cruiser. it attracts alot of attention on the street. This car has alot of sentimental value to me because my father & I worked alot on it & I've had it for a couple of years now. As for payment a 500 dollar non refundable will be required and balance due within 7 days. If you have any addtional questions feel free to send me a email at bigdaddyvas11@yahoo.com
