Up for bid is a 1971 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE 2 DOOR This vehicle has only 84,000 miles and has recently been fully overhauled into safe, reliable, drivable condition with the following done: Brakes have been fully overhauled with NEW Brake Shoes, Drums, Cylinders, and Seals. New V-Belt, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs, Battery, Fuel hoses, Fuel Tank, and Timing chain. The Carburetor was REBUILT, and we had the Tie Rods and the Hood latch assembly replaced as well. 4 BRAND NEW (60ish miles on them) TIRES! ALL WORK DONE IN MARCH 2009 (Kept the repair bill) Sadly it has not seen much road time since, has been stored indoors and been run every other week to keep motor running strong. Runs very well without any issues at all, would make a great around towner! Gets looks and "thumbs ups" no matter where you go! (can't complain about the gas mileage either!) Very Little Rust, Body in great condition. Not "Show Quality", but definitely in "good" condition (on a scale of 1-10 I'd put the car at a 7), Under body/Undercarriage looks GREAT.
