Vehicle Detail
1970 Chevy Corvette Motion Mako Shark II with 62k Orignal Miles Numbers matching ALL ORGINAL 350/350hp Power Steering, Power Brakes in storage 30 years! Very orignal car all numbers I could see match the car is truely a time capsule!! The Mako Shark II replica was designed by John Silva of Ipswich, MA. Starting in 71, it was marketed with the name Maco jointly with Joel Rosen of Motion Performance (of Baldwin/Motion fame) Baldwin, NY under 100 cars ever produced! The car's history is not completely known, the car was parked in the 70's (in long island new york) due the owner being sent to jail for over 20 years, the car was then moved a few times and finally ended up near the bronx. Besides the motion body the other upgrades that seemed to be done by them was factory side exhaust added (mufflers and pipes are in great shape!), hurst shifter, rear end gear change, suspension upgrades, aluminum wheels with spinners etc. At some point the car was getting prepped for a repaint, the car was orignal blue with black vinyl from the factory. The orignal black vinyl interior is in great shape for the age of the car its really amazing there not even any rips in the seats, gauges seem to work, even the radio and power ant seem to work!! The exterior looks like a car thats been sitting around for 30 years it will need to be gone over and painted. The under side of the car is also in great shape! The frame is rot free!!! I did put some fresh gas in the carb and it started right up and ran great!. The car has been sitting so it needs to be gone over before its put back on the road! This is a rare find that being sold for no reserve so ask all questions first and bid to win! Due to the cars age its being sold as-is. (I included a picture I found of a car just like it or possibly it is it im not sure). On Jun-09-10 at 06:36:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Ive had a new people ask about the chrome bumpers, the mako shark does not have chrome bumpers as you can see in the picture below
