This is difficult to do, though I'm putting up my '80 Lemans wagon up for sale. I purchased the le mans last year to remind me of my childhood when my folks had a similar wagon back in the '80's. But my insurance cost with 3 other cars (BMW,C/K Silverado and Caprice) is killing me, so the Lemans must go or I'd keep it for sure! The Lemans has the original Pontiac 301V8 and auto trans. She runs and drives smooth and is very nimble. There is a rattle sometimes at very first start up though goes away when warmed up and I planned to install a Pontiac 350 engine from a '70 catalina though the 301 runs so smooth so I left things alone. The body is straight and clean with the only very minor rust is 2 small pin holes on the drivers side rear panel (see photos). This is unusual since Seattle never used road salt and have mild winters. The interior is clean with the exception of the headliner and dash pad and a very small tear on the passenger side seat. The items that would need attention would be the P/S hose seaps and the speedometer does not work. The Lemans is very reliable an fun to drive, I only changed the oil, filter and lubed it. The trans fluid needs changed a tune up wouldn't hurt down the road. I did change the thermostat and coolant along with a new radiator cap.
