1980 PONTIAC TRANS AM *****SUPER CLEAN!!!***** You are looking at a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am. I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. It has a 1975 Pontiac 400cid engine, with a TH350 transmission. The engine is from a 1975 Pontiac Bonneville that had 71,000 original miles when installed into the T/A. The engine was installed about 1year ago. Since installation, the engine has about 4,500 more miles on it. The engine needs minor TLC (exhaust manifold gaskets and a tune-up), but runs great and shifts wonderfully. The engine is mechanically sound and runs great. The transmission also is mechanically sound and has been recently flushed/filled. I also installed a new poly trans mount. The body/frame has about 125,000 miles on it. It was recently painted and the body has "no rust" whatsoever, it is immaculate!! The gas tank was replaced as well, along with the fuel lines. It has new brake components; booster, master cylinder, lines, proportioning valve, rotors, calipers, pads in front and shoes in rear, cylinders and sping kits in rear. Also recently installed new shocks in front & rear, upper/lower control arms, inner & outer tirerods, center link and springs in the front. Also has new steering box. The underbody has also been sprayed, as well as the trunk floor. The interior needs the most work. I installed new black carpet, but it is in need of some new interior door panels, weather stripping on doors & T-Tops. Also could use a new headliner. The winsheild also has a small crack in the bottom passenger side. The dash bezel is in great condition, but the center counsel is missing the compartment lid. The tires are Firestone "Indy 500 FireHawks", and are fairly new. The rims are original 15x9 "snowflake" design. The reason for sale is due to a layoff at the job! The wife says it must go!!! The vehicle is almost complete. It doesn't need much more work at all, just finishing touches. Over $4,000 invested. This is a great vehicle for someone looking to find that "almost there" collector and enjoy for the summer!!
