LOTS MORE PICS@http://s495.photobucket.com/albums/rr317/binderchaser/73%20gold%20soa%20scout/ This super clean 73 scout was built to have the off road look and be trail capable but has only been a urban wheeler and never taken off road. It has a awesome aggressive look with the shinny factory gold color and the 15x10 black street lock wheels rolling on 35" toyo mud terrains. The lift is a spring over and was done correctly with good welds as seen in pics in link. It still retains the factory perches so the springs could be flipped back over and you could throw some 31's and caps back on and it would look showroom stock!! The engine bay is very clean and fresh with a strong running rebuilt V8, new starter, alternator, rebuilt carb, ps pump, new radiator and hoses, fuel pump and lines and fresh paint throughout all done in last 4k miles. he body on this old binder really has with stood the last 37 years very well and still wears its original paint and holds a nice shine. All the original panels are still in place and it has never been in a accident showing only one ding in the body at front driver fender where the factory bumper bent back at some point in the past which was very common due to them being very week.(custom bumper was always in the plans but never got to that point) Rust is very limited and most of it has been addressed by the previous owner, externally you will only see a little starting on the edge of both rear wheel well lips and right at bottom in front of passenger rear tire( both can be coverd up easily with set of bushwacker flares found at superscout.com. Both rocker panels have been replaced along with both sides of front passenger floor boards. t that time the front body mounts were rebuilt with solid steel along with the cross braces under the floor boards as shown in pics. In the rear cargo area rust has obviously started at the rear corners and it was cut out and thick flat steel was welded in place and coated with a rust preventive paint. A full 6 point internal roll cage has been installed for off road look and safety of passengers when top is removed and it also gives a excellent mount for future shoulder belts which i highly recommend installing on any older vehicle with lap belts only. The cage is built for this vehicle and is not a universal kit and was done with good welds but if this truck starts to see alot of trail time it should have the cage tied to the frame as any certified trail rig needs to be. The interior is 100% stock to this truck and the front buckets has perfectly presentable good lookin covers but under the factory material has started to give way but the foam is still solid for reusing. The original headliner and and side panels have survived al these years and the rear window frame is very solid and the top appear's to be too. The weather stripping for in the doors is included but new ones are very cheap and a new set would be a good investment to keep rain and wind out at high speeds. Over all this is a great lookin old binder that gets alot of looks and is year round fun with top off summers and great in winter snow or trails and yes this is a driver ready scout but it does drive like a lifted 37 year old classic should that has old tchnology and arrow dynamics of a brick , but hey you don't see them at every car show, toff road event or street corner and that is why we love em!!! NO RESERVE SO THIS ONE IS SELLING TO HIGHIEST BIDDER!!
