This is a true SS not a clone - vin number is correct. Have refurbed over 20 cars in my life and thought I wanted to do one more after the 67 Corvette I sold. After good start I decided at the age of 62 I changed my mind so here it is the good the bad and the ugly: Good: True SS 4 speed with Hurst shifter correct vin# Engine rebuild a few years ago - not many miles since (according to previous owner and compression etc appears to agree) Drive shaft, rear end done 2 years ago Trans complete rebuilt less than 100 miles ago spare 64 correct trans in trunk with mangled gears. valuable core as 64 was one year driver side speedo. The one in the car is not 64 but same gearing etc and crossover for speedo. Fairly new radial tires. Basically drive train is ready to go and she drives straight down the road. Bad: Body work that was previously done is not very good. Bondo and crude paint - 15 foot car if you know what I mean. Wheels are a Corvette wire wheel but have some rust issues. Ugly: heating controls just hanging there and I have not looked at them at all to see what is needed. OVERALL: Great starter and runner. Would not be concerned about a long trip with it. I drove it from Omaha with the old tranny on 95 degree day without any problems a couple of years ago. Does not have power steering or A/C.
