I have an 1998 full size Montero 4X4 for sale - V6 3.0 L engine - Clear title to the lucky new owner - Vehicle runs good except for a slight idle skip but can be fine tuned if needed . It does leak some oil and was told that the seals are gone- Also at first when you start up the vehicle, it knocks for a few sec and then goes away - The cruise control isn't working - The AC is cold - The Radio is not at his best bec the volume knob is not accurate and the power antenna stop working but you can hear the motor running so it could be the antenna that needs to be replaced - The 4X4 console light is not working for the 2WD and it is stuck on the 4X4 but I never could understand how to operate the 4x4 and don't need it here in FL but prefer to drive with the 4x4 light on - Sometimes they flash and sometime go solid and was told that the 4x4 swucthes may need to be replaced or bad electrical connection on the switches - Also the front driver CV axle is bad and you will hear from time to time when driving and hitting bumps, very annoying and scary at times but does not affect the driving condition and never on high speed drive - The console light for DRIVE is not working could be blown lamp not sure - The vehicle was painted few months ago but they were off a bit on the paint so it is more like a very very dark green than black - The old paint was faded from the sun down south . The vehicle has never been in accident that I know of - The tires have about 50% thread left and not all matchable brand and also missing 2 center caps - Brakes are fine and interior is great but missing the 2 far end seats which would have made it a 7 passenger i think but don't know that for sure bec i never researched that year to see if it came with it - Also has a huge power sunroof which is working - All power windows and locks works - It is a fun truck to drive and worth everything if you want to fix it and have a truck to last and drive it uphill - I will answer every and every question to my best knowledge and would like to remain with good rating so pls don't bid if you're not sure of what you're buying or forgot to ask something or read the ad carefully - I will continue to revise the ad if I forgot to add anything - I drive 60 miles a day to work with this car and on weekends I take it to fishing or camping 90 miles or so - On May-30-10 at 08:43:09 PDT, seller added the following information:THIS IS AN AUCTION AND I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY BIDDER THAT I FEEL IS NOT HERE TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE AND INSTEAD ARE HERE TO DESTROY AND MANIPULATE THE BIDDING PROCESS- I WILL REMOVED AND RETRACT ANY BIDDER THAT IM NOT COMFORTABLE WITH AND I WILL PROSECUTE YOU IF YOU DISOBEY AND VIOLATE EBAY'S POLICY-
