Up for sale is this Mark 2 Sunbeam Tiger, VIN B382100513LRXFE. Registered as a 1968, this car is one of only 536 ever produced, and one of only a few hundred still in existence. Verified by the Sunbeam Tiger Owners Association as an authentic Mark 2 Tiger. Engine runs strong, believed to be original 289. Clutch is good. Transmission shifts smoothly, Hurst linkage with classic cue-ball grip. Paint in good condition, originally polar white. Body is presentable, various repairs over the decades. Will put buyer in contact with west coast source for wheel arch and rocker trim. Interior is nice. New door panels and threshold plates. Seats appear to be original material and still holding up well. Tach, speedo and clock need to be rebuilt. New window channel guides, no rattles! Front suspension completely rebuilt. Crossmember reinforced in all the typical Tiger weak spots. New upper and lower fulcrum pins, tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, springs, shocks, sway bar bushings, etc. Powder coated. Awesome! Steering rack rebuilt by Tom Hall. Rear differential completely rebuilt. New bearing kit (pinion, carrier, shims, etc.), axle bearings, inner and outer seals. Axles polished and checked for straightness and run-out. Axle housing checked for camber and toe. Original 2:88 gears were in great condition so they were kept. Posi-traction installed and only about 200 easy miles on it so far so it still needs about 300 more miles to be properly broken-in. Powder coated. Sweet! Rear springs cleaned, painted, appear to sag a little, new thrust buttons. New shocks. Hydraulic system completely rebuilt. New metallic brake pads, stainless steel pistons, etc. Vacuum servo, brake master cylinder, and clutch master and slave cylinders rebuilt and painted. All new brake lines (hard lines and flex lines). Silicone brake/clutch fluid. Other misc. includes new hoses, fan belt, spark plugs and wires, battery and K&N air filter. Heater core cleaned and pressure checked. Radiator shroud and Mark 2 oil cooler included, just need to be cleaned up. Original spare. Car cover. Shop manual.
