Vehicle Detail
1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. This is NOT a show car, however, it draws a lot of attention and always wins a trophy at the local show and shine and is a star on cruise nights. This car started its life as a very basic Trans Am; a 6.6 liter with power breaks, power stearing, rear window defogger, and all the basic Trans Am options. After a total ground-up restoration, all rusted panels were replaced with new ones. Car was then re-assembled using all new body mounts, suspension mounts, and every mechanical part of this care was either re-built or replaced. The low horse power (original 403 motor) was replaced with high output 1975 455 Pontiac engine. EXTERIOR The exterior paint is nice, but not show quality. It is a 7.5 on a scale from 1-10. It has a few small chips, scratches and the stickers are not perfect. However, it is a nice "driver-quality" car. INTERIOR The interior has new door panels, seat covers, carpet, stearing wheel, head liner, seals and moldings. It still has original dash pad, dash and gages, seat belts and console. The car could use a new dash pad due to several cracks. It also has a Kennwood reciever, USB port to hook up I-Pod that is powered by a 200 watt, 4-channel Kenwood amplifier and Kennwood speakers. Interior is also a 7.5 out of 10...nice driver, but not a show car. DRIVE TRAIN The drive train is the BEST part of this car, featuring a 1975 455 engine with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold with a Holly Street Avenger carborator. All this through high output heads with a lope-sounding cam. This motor breaths through Headman headers, Flowmaster mufflers, and exhaust is new from tip to tip. This motor runs very strong and is over 425 hourse power at the rear wheels. It is also backed by a re-built 4 speed transmisssion and the original 10V posi rear end. VERY fun car to drive! OVERALL This is a nice driver-quality car that a person can drive and enjoy. I have approximately $20,000 into it. This is a NO RESERVE auction. The high bidder will be the winner. I want $1,000 (NON-REFUNDABLE) down within 24 hours of auction close to be paid by PayPal and the balance paid within 7 days thereafter. Buyer will be responible for shipping, however, I will help out any way necessary. I will guarantee satisfaction of the buyer. Feel free to call me with questions at (509) 879-8771.
