Up for auction is a 1973 Ford Thunderbird. The vehicle is in excellent cosmetic condition but the engine is untested as there is no steering column in the vehicle. There are parts for the steering column but not a complete unit. We were told the vehicle does run. There is no headliner on the interior of the vehicle and on the outside the roof has some small areas of the vinyl that are starting to curl. (See pics). The interior carpets are in excellent condition and are brown in color. The seats are leather and are worn from age. Leather has cracks. This vehicle has power windows, an option on the driver's side door for front and rear tilt? We assume this is for the seat. Manual mirrors. This vehicle also has an air conditioning compressor but not sure if it works or not. The dash is currently dismantled but the covers and all are included (Again see pics). The radio is a Pioneer Am/Fm cassette player and again, we are not sure if it works or not. This vehicle was manufactured 5/73 Color code: 5F Trim code: K9 Trans Code: U GVWR: 6019 Engine Code: A which we have researched to be a 460 Cubic inch V-8 with a net horsepower of 219. We are unaware if this motor is the original motor or not as we can not see the casting numbers. This could be a wonderful car to someone who wants to restore a beautiful car or for the collector who is willing to put some money into it to have someone restore it for them. This vehicle has a clear title and buyer will be responsible for moving of the vehicle to it's new location. It has been kept inside for quite a few years now. Very little rust on the body that we can see, paint in good condition. The speedometer that is with it reads a total mileage of 9079 but we are not sure if there are more miles on it. The title shows that it had 194000 on 10/08 so our best guess would be that it has 199079 miles on this motor. We will be happy to try and answer any questions you may have about this vehicle.
