I am selling a really nice 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix LE. This car has the large 4.3 Liter V6 engine with fuel injection. If you know about cars, this engine is actually the same as a Chevrolet 350 V8, with 2 less cylinders. These engines have a great reputation for reliability and good gas mileage. The car also has automatic transmission, power steering & brakes, COLD air conditioning, rear defroster, Rally Wheels, tilt steering, cruise control, factory am/fm stereo, and landau package with vinyl top. These Grand Prixs were just like the rear-wheel-drive Chevy Monte Carlos, Olds Cutlasses, and Buick Regals from the same era. These cars have a reputation for being reliable and easy to work on. In a few months, this car will be 25 years old and be able to be registered as an antique vehicle. It has only been in 1 other family before me, and has always been kept under cover and well maintained. This nice car only has 73,000 actual miles! It is still mostly original paint (still looks nice and shiny), has an immaculate original cloth interior, and its original Landau vinyl top. Top is also in great shape; not dried out or cracked. The body is nice and straight. Like any used car, there are a few small "door dings", but it has not been wrecked, and is in great looking condition! Car has all original body panels. Not rusted. Frame and floor pans are also original, nice, and straight; not rusted out or scaly. Car has not been winter driven. The car runs and drives out very well! The engine and transmission are smooth and quiet. A couple of weeks ago, I drove the car on a 500 mile trip, had no problems, and got 24 miles per gallon! The car does not smoke or leak. Within the last year it has had a new radiator, belts, transmission service, battery, brakes, a/c service and new front tires. The rear tires are still in great shape. In the last 30 days, the car has had a major tune-up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filters, pcv valve etc), new North Carolina Inspection, and complete exhaust system from the catalytic converter back. I don't know of any other maintenance or repairs that the car needs at this point. This is a really nice sporty car that you can get in, drive, and have fun! It is also a way to get into the antique car hobby very reasonably and be able to have fun going to car shows and cruise-ins. It won't break your budget driving it. I have been getting 19-21 MPG local driving, and got 24 MPG on my recent 500 mile trip! It burns 87 octane regular unleaded. This car is what we call in the hobby a "Survivor".
