1970 Giannini 500 TV s/n 110F2451212 Up for sale here is a rare and documented Giannini 500 TV. Last I heard this and one other local car are the only documented Giannini’s in the United States. Like Abarth, Giannini was a famous Fiat tuner. In 1995 we imported the car featured here from Palermo, Sicily where it was originally sold. Since purchasing the car, it has been shown many times at Concorso Italiano, Best of France and Italy Car Show, and various Sunday morning gatherings. Over the years we have also rented the car out to the movie studios. It has been featured in M&M, Pepsi, and Levi’s commercials around the world. Exterior: The car is refinished in it’s original Swift Red color. The paint was redone by the previous owner sometime in the early 90’s. The paint still shines and has always been garaged indoors during our ownership. The car has a couple light scratches and a chip on the passenger door, all of which were there when we purchased it. Interior: The interior of the car is in very good shape. We had the seats and carpet redone in Sicily before importing it. The original Giannini gauge cluster is in good condition. At some point someone added an auxiliary fuel gauge as well as an aftermarket steering wheel. Mechanical: The car runs and drives great. It’s never let us down in our 15 years of ownership. When we first got the car we had a new sunroof made and two years ago we rebuilt the front suspension and carburetor. Misc: The car has the correct Giannini badging front and rear as well as the Giannini oil pan. Everything works on the car…lights, wipers, speedometer, etc. The tires are starting to show some age with surface cracks. The car has a clear California title. It is currently registered and insured. The car is located in the San Fernando Valley (Northridge, CA 91324) which is 15 miles west of Burbank airport and 25 miles north of LAX. A non-refundable 10% deposit is due no later than 24 hours after the auction closes. I will accept PayPal for the deposit. The balance needs to be paid no later than 7 days after the auction closes. I will accept wire transfer or bank check as method of payment for the balance. It is the winning bidder’s responsibility to arrange and pay for the shipping of the vehicle. The car needs to be picked up no later than 10 days after the auction closes. If the car needs to stay a couple days longer due to transport scheduling, that is okay.
