1970 Triumph Bonneville

The bids did not meet my reserve last auction. I have lowered the reserve and the "Buy It Now" price for the last time. I hope someone can give this beautiful bike a good home. I owned it for 12 years and enjoyed showing it around the country at the British meets. It always did well. 1970 Bonneville for auction. I am thinning out my stable. This bike is in excellent condition with a recently complete rebuild on the motor (everything). The pistons are "40 over". It has matching numbers.I put 34mm Mikuni carbs on it but for you "British Originals" I have a set of Amals that you are welcome to for free. It has a Boyer Ignition and an add on oil filter that the element can be changed (check pictures for the filter). It can be removed very easy. It also has a very rare set of 'Twin Wind Tone Hooters", just try finding them for sale, if you do ask the price it will put you in shock. I have all manuals and an original tool kit. The bike is a one or two kick starter and runs very good. It always places well in the British meets. The black paint on the frame has a few very small places that needs touch up. The silver paint by the filler neck on the fuel tank needs touchup, very small place where gas got under it. It can be repaired without painting the whole tank. The front fender has a small paint damage place where the "Hooters" touched when the bike was tied down during transport, this is also an easy fix. The tires are showing a little age on the sidewalls. They probably don't have more than 50 mles on them. It is not a 10 point bike. I am not asking a 10 point price, just a fair price for this quality bike. It would not take a lot to make it a 10 pointer. Contact me for any questions you might have. Hope it finds a good home.
