!971 Volkswagen Beetle Deluxe in very good condition. This car is originally from the south and is virtually rust free even the heater boxes and tunnels are intact and operable. I cannot attest to the how accurtate the odometer is but the condition of the car would warrent the lower milage reading.The engine was rebuilt to stock specs about 6 years ago and a new clutch was installed at the same time. The rest of the drive train was inspected and repaired at this time. The engine has approximately 6,000 miles on it since it was rebuilt. The body has an older repaint that is starting to showing its age along with the usual dings and dents. The interior is original and shows some wear but it is otherwise in good condition for its age. A newer CD/radio and speaker system has been installed. The car needs the usual little stuff and a good repaint to be exceptional but is an excellent driver as is. This old Beetle has always been garaged and rarely seen any rain except for the occasional car wash.My son and I built this car up (not my first VW build) for my wife as a Mothers Day present, my wife has owned several Beetles over the years (since high school) and this has been nostalgic for her. Unfortunatley the arthritis in her knee has hindered her use of the clutch and she does not drive this car much because of this.The car runs and drives good and I would not doubt that it could make almost any journey but the car is 41 years old and has not been driven much in the last 2 years, so for long distances I would but it on a trailer.
