Vehicle Detail
1997 CHRYSLER LHS, SELLING FOR PARTS This car has reached the end of its road. It would take more money to fix everything that is wrong with this vehicle than what it is actually worth. In the few years I have owned this car, before the problems started to set in, it was a reliable running car, comfortable, fuel efficient and elegant looking at 80 mph or 5 mph. I will break down the car’s deficiencies by its section. INTERIOR: the right rear window will not close without help, torn driver’s seat, stain spots on the upholstery, the shift is broken but you can still shift the vehicle, a short in the interior lighting, loose panel under passenger side foot area, the snap on the passenger side visor is broken and the cd/cassette player are INOP. EXTERIOR: While in my ownership, I had two incidents where 2 misguided deer inflicted damage on the right front end of the vehicle. Right side headlight replaced with different size lens, dented hood by right front end, 2 dents on truck door, damaged right front fender, right side pass. side door panel, door will only open approx. 6 inches. Hail damage, rust in spots, discoloration on all sides of the vehicle and the fog lights do not work. ENGINE/MECHANICAL: the engine has both oil and coolant leaks which can be temporarily dealt with by using Stop Leak additives, the fly wheel at the front of the engine is wobbly, but I have encountered no adverse side effect from this issue, it is believed that the right front wheel has a broken tie rod which causes the car to knock when making a turn or going down the road. There are alignment issues, every couple months one tire primarily on the passenger side needs to be replaced due to being so badly worn. Cruising in town at about 30 mph with your foot off the fuel, the engine will slightly tug. The brakes need servicing and the check engine light is always on, which is believed to be from the fluid leaks. I have replaced the alternator and bought a new battery 6 months ago. I had purchased the car from a private owner. The buy is welcomed to come pick up the car upon purchase, please note this vehicle IS NOT CURRENTLY DRIVEABLE, after replacing the tie rod, the car will go down the road. I will accept full purchase of this vehicle through PayPal.
