This is very rare factory conversion.Pontiac would send brand new unregistered cars to National Coach Engineering in Michigan to be converted to convertible and than ship to few dealerships to sell those for a lot of $$$.For more info check out www.firebirdgallery.com I bought this awsome car 3 years ago with intentions of restoring it.Car was a daily driver before I took it apart.I made few repairs than life and other projects... ( you know the rest ) .Car is complete and I have all the pieces in boxes including top ( in decent condition with 2 inch tear on the side) Body is solid with all original metal sheets.I made repairs to quarters and floor with small metal patches restored rust around the top etc. Body still needs small amout of work before painting. Engine is 301 and was running great.I checked compression and was perfect on all cyl.Transmission shifted well but had a leak.Power stearing pump also leaked and I bought new one (included with car) but not installed it.Elecrtical was working without any problems.It is my believe that car is mostly original (except wheels) with about 80.000 miles on it( I can't guarantee since I'm not the first owner) .Has all the emission ans AC components. Front seats were pretty bad and I got rid of them before moving from SC to CO.I bought racing seats from summit and those will be included with car.I also have new carpet and trunk seal otherwise interior needs to be restored.
