Vehicle Detail

Great 1930 Model A Coupe body with no title. Includes reproduction 32 frame rails. Comes with body, rear deck lid, cowl/fuel tank, doors, upper hood, fenders, running boards, dash panel. Great start for a project. Good solid usable car that would require only minimal patch paneling in the lower wheels well area. Does not include an engine or transmission. Local Pickup Only On May-13-10 at 18:15:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Body of car has existing patch panels in only two places: 1. the area between the rear window and the rear deck lid 2. on the front firewall near the top. The patch panel below the rear window is attached with fasteners to the inside of the body, looks like it was used as a backup for filling a hole or something with body filler. The patch panel on the firewall doesnt look very big, and it too looks superficial - like it has been adhered to the outside of the firewall. I have added photos of both of these locations. There are no other patch panels on the body, but angles have been welded into the corners where the external wheel well sheet metal meets the body support frame. These look like they can be easily removed allowing proper patch panels to be installed. The kick panels of this body have not been modified or repaired and look very nice. The trunk lid has had some work done along the lower edge and on the internal sheet metal where the handle/latch installs. Photos have been added showing all these details. Also note that there are a couple of repairable cracks a couple inches in length at the forwardmost corners of the roof cutout. Also there is some sort of black sealer or tar slathered up inside the windshield visor. I assume there is some corrosion up under the visor but it is concealed by the tar. The visor sheetmetal looks solid from the outside. The fuel tank/cowl in this car looks very nice. The tanks seems solid and i have noted no rust through. The inside of the tank looks pretty clean thought i have not inspected it thoroughly. Looks as though someone has used fuel tank sealer in it but I cannot determine exactly why as the tank looks good. The best part of this car is the doors. They are in very good condition. They have not been patch paneled and they are not rusted out at the bottoms. Really good usable doors. This car is really solid for 80 years of age. Every hot rodder that has looked seen it has been impressed with the condition. As far as Model A's go, this one is in great condition. The next level up would be a running driving car. Note that if a personal check is used for payment, it will have to clear my bank prior to the buyer taking possession of the car. eBay inconveniently leaves that detail out of the listing when a seller checks the "Personal Check (Once Cleared)" payment option.
