Vehicle Detail

1974 Buick Electra 225 4-Door Hard Top Be the envy of your neighborhood with this long land shark. The Electra 225, Deuce and a Quarter, is Buick's largest and most luxurious model car ever. Drivetrain: The Buick Electra listed here retains its stock 455 cubic inch eight-cylinder engine with automatic transmission. Standard features include power steering and power brakes which work well. It received a new battery a few months ago. The Buick starts and runs well with a slight nose up attitude as the rear springs are showing their age. Exterior: Doors and hood fit well and shut tightly. Spare tire and jack are in trunk. You'll find a small amount of surface rust, no through holes or deep rust and scratch and ding here and there. Has a barely noticeable scrape on right rear fender. White wall radial tires are in good shape. Rear windshield seal leaks a little apparently. This car was put away out of the elements so I didn't feel the need to remove the trim and dab it up with caulk, but I feel that's what I would have done for this. Front windshield has a crack and a bulls-eye in it you can see in the pics. The hard top is in good shape. Interior: Light Fawn vinyl seats are in good shape for the age, but there are tears at a few seams in the front. Dash is also in good condition. Features include AM/FM radio, A/C, heater, power windows, power locks and power seats. All windows go up and down but the driver front moves slowly. When you have a classic car like this, that's just more character. Power seats work in every direction. Standard equipment includes front seat belts with retractors, electric clock, trunk light, door-operated courtesy light, dual side arm rests, and dual speed windshield wiper and windshield washer. See the pics, nothing spells 70’s C-L-A-S-S like ashtrays with cigarette lighters in the rear doors. Overall: Please keep in mind that this Buick was garaged for the last five years, sporadically used during the weekends. My sister was working up the cash to get it fixed up. Well that never happened, now it's going, going, gone. I fully believe the car is ready for you to drive away with, but expect to do a tuneup and recharge the A/C just like any other car that sits for a while. Everything is original except for the plastic tail bumps and the starter. This car was family owned from new. VIN: 4V39T4H502088 Odometer: 129,400 miles On Apr-26-10 at 21:01:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention the trim underneath the taillights and above the bumper is deteriorated. It's black plastic about 1" tall that keeps you from being able to see what is below the taillights.
