Vehicle Detail
Condition: Vanagon has strong engine and clean interior. Headrest covering is split, but otherwise intact. Body damage includes pulled dent in rear driver's side, patched with filler to prevent rust, but needs to be sanded. Some other small dents and dings. Recently discovered brake lights are out, and suspect sensor. Otherwise, no other mechanical/electrical issues. Air conditioning needs to be recharged and cruise control is not functioning. After an online search, I suspect the "brake light switch" is what I meant to say above; I had this previously go out on an older '78 bus. Vanagon's appears to be just behind the brake pedal and $15. The lights in the rest of the units work (blinkers, running lights, etc.). Features: Vanagon has Z-bed [view], the perfect camping accessory. Also has outdoor electrical outlet [view] for hooking up to shore power at campgrounds. Towing hitch as well as trailer light outlet in transom. Roof rack. History: Vanagon has had three owners, including current. I have all paperwork. Until 2003 she was a California daily driver. In 2003, previous owner put around $3,000 into her and brought her East. I have used the Vanagon as a weekend vehicle, driving from NYC 50 - 100 miles north twice a month. Aside from brake lights mentioned above, I have had absolutely no mechanical/electrical issues since owning her. She is a strong vehicle. She has current inspection stickers through June or July 2010. Last round I had a $500 catalytic converter (pollution control) put in and break pads, so she should be strong for safety inspection. I am looking to sell because I don't have the space to park her when I am not using her to get out of the city. On May-13-10 at 16:45:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional Information What she needs: A spare tire Brake lights fixed (suspect brake switch: $15) One plastic horn icon on steering wheel spoke :( What she has: CD Player Good tires No tears in headliner Rubber floor matting throughout intact No interior leaks Heater front and back work Upholstery in good condition Good interior throughout No known issues
