A rather complete 51 Mercury Four door sedan. One owner. For many years, this was a car left at the local airport for the owners use when he flew in. Hence, low miles. Approximately ten years go the radiator developed a leak and it was removed and repaired. Not reinstalled and the car has been sitting since. The body is fairly rust free. There are a few spots. The spare tire well in the trunk is rotted through. The interior has been a condomiinium for various critters. While complete, all the upholstery is a disaster. The radio is missing. Otherwise, the car is complete. The window glass is mostly is kaput. But, the rear glass is iin good shape. A light crease, scrape. along the drivers front fender and door. The original paint is long gone, but the body is solid under surface rust. Under the hood, the engine and accessories appear to be all there. Yes, even the glass windshield washer bottle. The engine is the original flathead V8. Three speed gearbox, no overdrive. The overall condition is too good, a judgement call, to make this a parts car. There is a clear Nebraska title from the previous owners estate. A modest reserve protects against low or no bids and/or interest. It is located in Julesburg, Colorado, at a friend's property. Very close to the NE corner of the state, just off I-80. Pickup only, although some arrangement could be made for delivery with a mileage charge.
