RESERVE HAS BEEN LOWERED! 1979 FERRARI DINO 308 GT4 51,100 MILES RED / TAN 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION YOU ARE LOOKING AT A BEAUTIFUL AND VERY ORIGINAL 1979 FERRARI 308 GT4. IT WAS REPAINTED IN THE ORIGINAL RED WITH FLAT BLACK BOXER TRIM AND HAS TAN LEATHER. 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, FACTORY AIR-CONDITIONING, POWER WINDOWS, SUNROOF. IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNERS, REPAIR, WARRANTY MANUALS AND TOOLS/SPARES KIT THAT CAME WITH THE CAR FROM THE DEALER. 45,000 M SERVICE DONE AT ALGAR FERRARI. SERVICE HISTORY BACK TO 1991. THATS 19 YEARS OF SERVICE RECORDS TO SHOW THIS IS A WELL MAINTAINED CAR. I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM A METICULOUS COLLECTOR IN 1998 WITH 38,000 MILES ON IT, AND HAVE DRIVEN IT AND MAINTAINED IT REGULARLY. The catalytic converter and smog equipment are all intact and working. Cam belts changed at 45,000 mile service in April 2001. due to be changed again at 60,000 or next year at 10 year mark. I replaced clutch plate and throw out bearing in 99 due to an oil leak. The transmission syncros are fine, i always double clutch going into second until it is warmed up. Paint work was done by the prior owner. It is smooth and shiny. No bubbles. Looks as good as the day i bought it. There is a 1/4 inch long crack in the paint at the bottom of the roof sail. No tears in the leather. The petina of the drivers seat is appropriate for the mileage as can be seen in the pictures. Dash and headliner are intact. Clock doesn't always work. Radio works fine. The wheels are the original Campagnolo's. Tires are Goodyear Eagle GT+4 with deep tread. SOME HISTORY ON THE FERRARI 308 GT4: Ferrari’s family of immensely successful V8 road cars began in 1973 with the 308 GT4. The Maranello factory’s first V8-engined road car and first mid-engine 2+2, the 308 GT4 was styled by Bertone rather than the customary Pininfarina. By placing the front seats well forward, Bertone made room for two children or one sideways-seated adult in the rear, while the compact engine/transaxle package left space behind the engine bay for a luggage compartment. Although the newcomer’s wedge-shaped styling was controversial, the performance of its quad-cam, 3-liter V8 did not disappoint, proving sufficient to propel the 308 past 150 mph, with 0-60 mph coming in under 7 seconds.
