Vehicle Detail
1971 Fury Gran Coupe 4-door sedan with 383 engine and paisley top and interior - ALL ORIGINAL AND NO RUST!!!!! I found this car a few months ago in a garage where it had been sitting for over 15 years. It's copper with the paisley top and interior and the only thing that I can find that is missing is the hub caps. There is no body damage - thats right, NO BODY DAMAGE OR RUST. the paint is in excelent shape for a car this old. It has a few little scrapes and would need to be buffed out but other than that itis perfect. The top has NO tears or rips and all the trim pieces are in perfect shape. The interior is in real nice shape as well. Very little wear on the seats and no tears. The carpet is a little moldy and worn oin the drivers side because there looks like there may be leak in the weatherstripping somewhere. I have been keeping it covered since I got it but I left it out in the rain once and the carpet was wet on the drivers side floor. As you can see from the pictures, this car is in real nice shape, it needs a true mopar guy to go through it mechanically and make it sound since I'm sure nothing has been touched on it in 20 years. Under the hood is a 383 that seems to be in good shape but I don't know for sure. I have NOT tried to turn it over for fear of damaging the motor. Someone did some work on the distributor and plugs prior to me getting my hands on it so that will have to be ironed out as well. The odometer reads "26,871" for the mileage but I'm pretty sure it has rolled over so I put the milage at 126,871. the car has a trailer hitch and from what I understand was used to tow a camper from Maryland to upstate New York in the summer and was equipped with the heavy duty transmission and rear end. I can't confirm but maybe you can from the vin. If you have any questions, please email me. I would be happy to to search out numbers on the car to confirm anything so you know what is on the car. This car needs just a little love and would be a real cool ride. If I didn't take it, it would have gone to the scrap yard so all you MOPAR guys take a close look at this one and consider it for you next project. I know its not a 440 but its still a cool car. I bought the car without a title but I have researched it quite a bit and will provide all the necessary paperwork (notarized bill of sale, etc.) to get it titled. The sale is local pickup only, however if you want to arrange shipping, I will help coordinate. Per Request, I just uploaded some pics of the back and inside the trunk. They are hi-res so they may take a bit to download but they show that the trunk is pretty clean. The last pic is the trunk mat and original floor mats. Note that the jack and spare tiere are also in there.
