1963 Porsche 356 Cabriolet project. California blue plate car that stalled in restoration then stored for 24 years. The car is complete. It’s all here, including the convertible top and frame. Solid tub, with original floors, longitudinals and solid torsion tube areas. New nose repair panels come with the car so you don’t have to hunt parts. Car was stripped to bare metal to reveal any issues and then painted in primer to preserve. Currently in primer. Original paint code is 6202, Ruby Red. Engine is a 1600 Super and has been stored with oil and turns freely. Comes with all the goodies like original Blaupunkt radio with correct antenna, and original in dash clock. 356 Cabriolets are recognized as some of the nicest early Porsche’s to own and drive as they combine the open car appeal with comfortable amenities of roll up windows and weather tight convertible top. As a result of their popularity and community support, good open 356 projects have become very hard to find. This is a wonderful opportunity for a restorer and offers significant upside potential upon completion.
