This is a 1968 Pontiac GTO. The color is Solar Red with a black vinyl top. I purchased the car in Pennsylvania at the Spring Carslile Event in 2003. I hate to see this car go, but with 2 young children at home, I have very little time to use it, so here we are on eBay. The car has been stored every winter I have owned it, and was told it was garaged full time from the previous owner in PA. The car is a turn key driver, but needs a little TLC to make it a true show car. All work, since I have owned it, has been done by an ASE Certified Technician. This GTO's motor is a YU Code. (Not the original motor) And I'm not 100% sure it's a 400, could possibly be a 350.It has a 12 bolt posi-trac rear-end w/ .333s, (I have new .373s for it-not installed- yours if you buy the car) It has a Muncie 4-speed with a hurst shifter and linelock. It has an aftermarket Mallory Tach (in-dash) It has a mild hydraulic Lunati cam and an Offenhauser Aluminum intake with a Carter 4 barrel AFB. MSD High Energy Distributor, MSD Blaster 2 Coil, MSD 6A Ignition Box. This GTO has headers with a custom Exhaust.This car also has a 10 Gallon Fuel Cell and battery set-up in the trunk. Working Hideaway Headlights. Pontiac Rally IIs. Drum Brakes, power steering. Notes: Heater Controls not working/ Factory radio is in dash-not working. Antenna mast broken (from removing car cover).All gauges work, include speedometer. Directionals work. Headlights work. Car has two toggle switches installed. One for reverse lights and the other is a switch to power/kill ignition. Steering wheel horn button does not work. There is an aux. horn button on dash. Items that go with the car: I have New Wiper Motor and Washer Fluid Tank (the current motor works but does not retract fully), and a buch of books/papers from previous owner that go with the car. Restoration Guide etc, including a 1968 Owners Manual. This car had a previous restoration, the body shows very well with glossy red paint. The black interior is in very good condition. The chrome is near perfect and the glass is fine. This is a very clean car the frame the floors and body are solid with no rust. There are a few bubbles on the base of the deck lid and a small ding in the center of the hood from the air cleaner stud that was to long at one point also the front endura bumper has a couple small imperfections. That's all I can see. This is truly a beautiful GTO for some one who has time to enjoy it. This GTO is Located In Massachusetts.
