Vehicle Detail
I have a 1969 Ford Torino GT Convertible car for sale. It has a 351 Windsor engine and FMX automatic transmission and power steering. It is a great candidate for a restoration as it is complete and not rusted beyond repair. It has rust in the usual places for these year and model Ford cars. The worst area is the driver's floor pan that will need a partial pan replacement; the lower passenger fender/door; both lower quarters (not bad); and in front of the driver's rear wheel. The batery box will need replaced. The bumpers have surface rust but are straight without any dents or damage. The GT badge is in the grill but the rear one is missing. All other badges including the "Torino" and "351" trim pieces are in place. All the glass is in the car and none are broken. The door windows have come off track. It has a power top with all the power parts in place and still hooked up. The top itself is trash, but the frame and ribs are in great shape and are not frozen. The interior is black vinyl and will need replaced but is all there except the driver's arm rest and a couple handles from the rear window cranks. The dash is pretty nice with a crack near the speaker grille. The carpet will need to be replaced. I have the Marti report for the car and it says the car was ordered without the hood scoop (rare), but someone has replaced it with one from a 1968 Torino GT (that has a correct type scoop) along with a driver's door from the same car. I personally think it looks better with the scoop. Data Plate: 76F B 6A 19J 22 6 X The car has been setting for alot of years and has a 1991 NC inspection sticker still on the windshield. I have not tried to crank or turn the engine over. It set inside for the last two years, but I'm not sure about it before that...most likely outside covered up. I have a clear NC title for the car, the Marti report and an origina owner's manual. This would make a great project car for a father/son project or just put it away while it continues to appreciate in value. On May-02-10 at 07:01:46 PDT, seller added the following information: [1] I attempted to locate the keys today without success. I will continue to try and locate them; however, if I'm not successful I will credite the winning bidder with the cost of having a key made. [2] I added a couple pictures of the passenger side bottom of the car around the frame and torque box(?). I am not a sheet metal, body or frame person so I don't know all the terms or exact name of the areas, but I have made an attempt to represent the car as honestly and best I can with the knowledge and expretise that I possess. I will allow the winnig bidder the opportunity to look over the car before final payment is made. This is the only way I know to be as fair and transparent as possible. You can see by my feedback that I have always been fair and honest with my bidders. Thanks for all the interest in the car and good luck bidding!
