We were the original owners. We bought the Jeep Commander because of it's looks (black exterior with a very good compliment of chrome and a kind of roomy basketball brown leather interior) and, of course, the 5.7 Hemi Engine which is rated around 340 horsepower. It also has a nice power sunroof and two second row skylights. It has third row seating, and most accessories you would expect on a higher end SUV- including the best remote start I've ever owned, power and heated seats, power adjust pedals, a Boston Acoustics 6 disc sound system, dual zone air conditioning, tire pressure monitoring, steering wheel mounted cruise and audio control, memory for radio, seats and mirrors, auto dimming mirrors, and aluminum chromed wheels- to name a few. It also has the smart beam headlamps, fog lamps, and rain-sense wipers which are really nice. We recently put new Goodyear tires all the way around. These are the Goodyear Kevlar sidewall tires and do great in rain or snow- never any problems. The overall condition of the vehicle is excellent. It has been my wife's car. She is a school teacher and has done an excellent job taking care of the vehicle. It is in excellent condition and has no dings or blemishes that I can see. Two dealerships commented that it was one of the most perfect Commanders that they had ever seen. The list price when we bought the Jeep was $38,535 and we still have the original window sticker listing it's many features. The Hemi engine is the most impressive feature. This vehicle is capable of doing about anything. While the transmission is automatic you can bump the shifter and put it in any gear you want. It gets about 20 on the highway which is much better than most SUV's. The engine is built to run in 4, 6, or 8 cylinder mode depending on what you want it to do. It's a well designed, good looking and roomy vehicle that still impresses me everytime I look at it. As I said, we are the original owners, it has never been in wreck- not even a small one, and remains in excellent condition. You can see it if you live in the area. Save many thousands over what dealers would want for this vehicle.
