I would like to sell my 87 Allante convert that I took on trade a couple years ago from a friend of mine that had owned it for a few years. I would not be selling it if I did not also have another Allante, as I do love these cars-have had several over the years-and probably will always own one while I am alive. I've owned all colors and personally feel this is one of the best color combinations. My other car is a low-low mileage car that I have used sparingly. I plan to use it more in the future. ANYWAY.......this car is very clean and tidy and runs and drives fantastic.as a matter of fact, probably as good as my 30,000 mile car(Allante). For those that have owned these cars previously-they know there are little quirks about them. The sun visors fall.......mine have been repaired with the $120. clutches being sold on Ebay-problem solved.......the handles that release the back of the seat sometimes fail not allowing the seats to fold ahead-mine work properly........the seat belt buckles may fail..........one of mine has been replaced-they both work correctly...........the dashes sometimes work intermitently....mine works right all the time.......some 87 and 88 outside mirrors get loose and won't hold their adjustment.....mine are solid as a rock..........cruise controls can be troublesome-placed on the steering wheel.....mine works every time(correctly-and resumes correctly).........am I forgetting any of their problems-oh yes-power windows are often troublesome.........mine work 100%.........Cosmetically the car has two wear spots on the convert top that are caused by the top riding down the road in the down position-they are small and non leaking spots..........the hood, due to it being aluminum is getting some flaky paint right at the top of the grill(pictured close up).......and there is one small dent in the top of the right fender-I think paintless dent removal would take car of it........The car is not a repaint and shows well for it's age. The interior is very nice with the drivers seat showing some age lines and a little wear.carpets are great throughout including trunk.....Owners manual included..............the car runs, drives, shifts smooth. the exhaust is original and throaty like all of them are......I have upgraded the wheels and tires from their original status of 15" to 16" Cadillac 2007 CTS wheels and near new tires. The brakes have also been replaced all the way around with high metallic pads(and one new caliper)and they put off a little brake dust and do a little low speed "squeeking"sometimes-I think because of the metallic content and limited use. The one thing possibly needing attention is the A/C........it will at least need a charge.........I believe it worked at the beginning of last season-but does not blow cold as of this season...It wiil display a low freon code"compressor shut off-low refridgerant" I will be happy to answer questions and show the car to prospective buyers close enough to come by-I think the car would drive home no matter where you live-but if you choose to ship it, I will assist the transport driver with loading. The transporting will be paid for by the buyer. There will be no warranty of any kind as with all vintage cars. I put about ten miles on the car this morning, at highway speeds after washing it.............It was a great ride!
