Vehicle Detail
I unfortunately need to sell my 1999 BMW M3, because I am attending law school in the fall. I purchased this car from the local BMW dealership as a Certified Pre-Owned car. The same dealership had previously sold this car when it was new in 1999, then took it back in on trade in 2003 when the original owner purchased a new BMW. I am the second owner, and have enjoyed every moment of owning this car. It has many great options on it, including leather, heated seats, split folding rear seats, 17" m wheels, sunroof, CD player and a 5 speed manual transmission. The local dealership and myself have maintained the car. I have religiously changed the oil and filter every 3000 miles. The car runs great and rides very comfortably. The engine idles smoothly and accelerates well. The car does not leak any oil, or any other fluids. The clutch feels very firm and is smooth. The shifter gate is clean and precise. The a/c works great and gets cold, but doesn’t blow with a lot of force. The car has new front and rear brake rotors and pads, which were changed last fall. The front tires were replaced last fall and have a lot of good tread left on them. The rear tires are a few years old and need to be replaced. The wheels on the car are the optional 17” aluminum M rims. I have had no major mechanical problems whatsoever with the car, and there are no warning or indicators lights illuminated on the dashboard. The check control system works, but some of the leds on the display are dim and hard to read. Cosmetically, the car looks great for it’s age. It has the original limited edition Dakar Yellow paint. The interior is clean and includes brand new $130 embroidered M3 floor mats. The carpet is clean and looks nice. The dashboard and instrument cluster look great, there are no cracks or burned out lights. The leather seats feel soft, and look good overall for their age. I have used lexol on the leather since purchasing the car. The leather on the sides of the front seats does have some surface cracking though, so please see the pictures and look closely. The door panels have some minor wear, but look good in general. There are a few small rock chips and other inconsequential wear and tear, but overall the body and paint are in nice shape. Please view the pictures and judge the condition for yourself. There is one dent on the car, on the rear driver’s side quarter panel, which occurred last fall during a windy thunderstorm, when a piece of scrap metal from a roof grazed it. Please look closely at the pictures and be aware of this. There are no warrantees or guarantees expressed or implied. The car is sold as is where is, and shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. I will be happy to assist with shipping in any way I can. A non-refundable deposit of $500 will be due within 24 hours of the close of the auction via Paypal. Paypal is the only method of payment accepted for the deposit; if you do not agree to this, please do not bid. Payment of the balance will be due within 7 days. Payment of the balance must be made via certified check or cash.
