1971 Convertible / Roadster with a White Top 400 Turbo Automatic Transmission Rebuilt Engine with 380hp / 400lb torque Power Steering Power Disc Brakes Tilt Wheel Telescopic Wheel One of the last chrome bumper corvettes The car has 90,000 miles on odometer, actual mileage unknown The Body Paint is good shape. No visible scratches or peeling. No cracks in the fiberglass. The rear bumpers has some light rust developing. Interior Black leather with black carpeting in good shape. The dash has been replaced a few years ago. Car has tilt / telescopic wheel. Drivetrain The car is not a numbers matching vehicle. This vette has a replacement engine with approximately 380hp / 400lb of torque. The engine is a 406sbc that was installed about 4 or 5 years ago. The engine has about 5000 miles on it max. This is professionally rebuilt engine using a forged assembly with aluminum heads. The Turbo 400 has been replaced / rebuilt in the last two years. The car has MSD electronic ignition (much more reliable), a new aluminum radiator with DeWit electric fans. A stainless steel dual exhaust was installed about 3 years ago as well. Headlights function and there are no vacuum leaks. Known Problems The wiper door on the hood works, but requires the factory override switch. This was originally an AC equipped car, but that has been removed The heater core has a leak. A new heater core is included with the car. Overall, I would give this car a 3.5 out 5. It is a really beautiful car to drive down the street and have a ton of fun with the top down. There are no mechanic problems or major issues. I’ve owned the car for about 6 years and have really enjoyed it. I have numerous car projects underway and have chosen to focus on another restoration project.
