I have for sale another object that I probably will not finish anytime soon. This is a 1972 LaFrance laddertruck that was converted to a flatbed truck. The intention of as well the former owner as myself was to use it as a flatbed truck to transport some of my older cars to shows etc. I picked it up in Phoenix last year and put it in storage in Tucson (AZ) with the intention to bring it to Ohio and than ship to Europe. But as so may ideas, some will not be actulized. Anyway this a ex firefighter truck that was shortened a few feet of the rear (where the outriggers were located is gone now). I do not have any ramps to drive any car on the truck. The former owner had planns to built a hydraulic lift , as with Nashcar trucks) to load his vehicles . I do not now to much about diesels but this has the Detroit Diesel series 71/V engine in it and runs fine. The drive trrain is a automatic transmission. Seats 2 people in the front and 2 inthe back next to the engine (hear-protectors are is advised). This is a truck is almost 40 years old and does not drive like a 2010 truck, but 60/65 miles cruising speed is possible. Tires are still good. Brakes work perfect. You have to get used driving it but it is a lot of fun and definitly a eye-catcher. Truck is located in Tucson, AZ I will not be in Tucson before Sunday 25 April. So if you want to have a look , not before sunday. I am on route this week, so be patient expecting any answears. I will try to check the internet every day, but you never know where i can log-inn. I will leave next week, and therfore this will be a 5 day auction only. So if sold pickup must be arranged before leaving me Arizona again, or other arrangements must me made. As always, as long the money is not on my account, no pickup and no transfer of title will be done. I advertised this item locally as well, and therfore I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. The stated miles of 99,999 is not correct, but i do not know the exact milage right now.
